Our Mission
Camaraderie, service and advocacy, right here in Cranston.
Who we are
Nelson-Mack Narragansett Post 4651 is a VFW post in Cranston, Rhode Island. We are an active social and mutual-aid club for veteran fellowship and citizenship, and our membership is made up largely of Post 9/11 veterans who welcome service members from every era.
In recent years the Post was close to closing. Veterans and neighbors stepped up to keep it open, and the hall on Haven Avenue is being rebuilt, repaired and reopened to the community.
The VFW mission
To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts, to serve our veterans, the military and our communities, and to advocate on behalf of all veterans.
— Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States
How we live it
Monthly meetings, cookouts, and a hall where you can just show up.
Honoring the fallen, supporting veterans and military families, and showing up for Cranston.
Advocacy and teamwork, from the Post up through the Rhode Island Department and VFW National.
